Research project on ecology of freshwater invertebrate communities in Pyrenean streams (2018-2025)
Member of a multidisciplinar research team recruited by Apatura Iris SLU, currently carrying out a fauna, flora and ecosystem survey on a Pyrenean catchment.
In charge of the aquatic macroinvertebrate communities ecological study (richness, diversity, abundance, biomass, spatial/temporal variability). Also on analyzing diet content in faeces of Pyrenean desman (Galemys pyrenaicus).
Field work, lab work, statistical analysis, cientific reports drafts.
Working in tight coordination with Helena Guasch (fluvial ecology) and Pere Aymerich (aquatic mammals) to assess ecosystem functions and monitoring of endangered species (Galemys pyrenaicus)

Development of edible insects rearing systems (2020-2022)
Starting up, assaying and improving experimental systems for rearing edible
insects (Mealworm –Tenebrio molitor– and house cricket –Acheta domestica-) aiming productive scale and commercial output in the field of insect farming and sustainable sources of protein production.
Receptive to test systems on other species (BSF –Hermetia illucens-, Waxworm –Galleria mellonella-…etc) and different scopes (organic waste revalue, pest control, plastic bio-degradation, larval therapy…). Currently searching for interested partners (please, contact me if you are interested).

Ecological risk assessment of irrigation water downstream a point source pollution in the Ebro River (Flix reservoir industrial-chemical facilities). Water, soil, foodstuff and macrophyte sampling; physic-chemical analysis and determination of heavy metal content of samples; statistical analysis of data; drafting of scientific articles and technical reports; oral contributions and poster presentations in workshops, congresses and seminars.
